ORGANIZATIONAL AND THEMATIC ASSUMPTIONS OF THE THREE SEAS CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION 22-24.06.2026
The Three Seas Initiative Congress is a conference and exhibition event aimed at deepening international cooperation between the countries associated with the Initiative and world markets. The congress is designed to support the expansion of the impact of the Three Seas Initiative from the government level to the regional, local government, business and social levels. By promoting the mutual history, traditions and culture of the associated countries and their partners, the Congress is an indispensable element for strengthening cooperation at the cultural, social, economic and political levels.
Building mutual infrastructure projects in the field of transport networks and energy security is becoming insufficient in the face of the dynamic changes that today’s reality brings us. The need to strengthen common security on key levels such as science, technology transfer, trade, finance, communications, food production or defence seems to be natural in the face of the state of today’s geopolitics and the new challenges it currently poses.
All these goals are achieved by the Three Seas Congress thanks to a significant number of participants and exhibitors from Poland and abroad, which include representatives of local and central authorities, social and non-governmental organizations, the world of culture and science, professional self-governments, including agricultural self-governments, trade unions and representatives of the broadly understood industry. The Three Seas Initiative Congress is a response to the long-raised voices of the community – its expectations regarding the organization of such an event for the integration of communities and expanding the network of mutual relations. Therefore, this event is of a transitory nature and every year the exhibition is organized on a similar date, but always in a different country of the Three Seas Initiative, so that every year the partners of the Initiative can get to know each other better from the perspective of not only the guest, the participant, but also the host.
The organizers chose Poland and the city of Gdańsk as the venue for the first congress, which, thanks to its location and history, has a unique cultural heritage, is a highly developed economic, social and political center. The history of the SOLIDARITY movement is deeply connected with this place – a synonym for the beginning of political and economic changes in Europe at the end of the 20th century, which largely translated into the shape of today’s world. The intention of the organizers of the congress is to initiate a new extended formula of cooperation in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, which will affect changes on the economic map not only of Europe but also of the World in the future. All these elements make up the final result, which is to be the mutual integration of the Three Seas Initiative and its wide global promotion. Poland, as the largest country among the Associated Countries, takes on the role of host in the inaugural Congress on the eve of the Conference for the Reconstruction of Ukraine organized in Gdańsk, and the support of the government administration makes it possible to do so in a professional manner while maintaining high quality and substantive standards of the organized congress and exhibition.
